Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, along with 5 years of experience in software development using programming languages such as C++, Python, Kotlin, and TypeScript. Your expertise includes working with TensorFlow and Jax for image processing and automation tasks, and you have a solid understanding of Image Signal Processor (ISP) processing. You also have experience in developing Android applications and desktop programs, as well as Machine Learning applications and web-based app development.

With 8 years of experience in image processing algorithms, you've made significant contributions to mobile camera application development and camera or video-related Android applications. You are familiar with the end-to-end product development lifecycle for mobile phones, particularly concerning camera features. Your knowledge extends to AI application integration and optimizing ML models for edge deployment, ensuring low latency on mobile devices and web browsers.

What you'll do

As a Senior AI Engineer at Google, you will be responsible for developing next-generation technologies that change how billions of users connect and interact with information. You will work on critical projects involving image processing algorithms and mobile camera applications, ensuring smooth frame capture and processing without draining battery or freezing the UI. You will manage camera lifecycle management and modify foundation models specifically for multimedia use cases, optimizing them for edge deployment through techniques like quantization, pruning, and distillation.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI applications and fine-tune ML models, contributing to the development of innovative features that enhance user experience. Your role will involve staying updated with the latest advancements in AI and machine learning, applying your knowledge to improve existing systems and develop new solutions that meet user needs.
