Google is hiring a Principal Workspace Strategic Cloud Engineer to manage and secure Google Workspace services for public sector clients. You'll work with technologies like Java, Python, and Google Cloud Platform. This position requires 13 years of experience in system design and troubleshooting.

Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math, or equivalent practical experience. With 13 years of experience in system design troubleshooting, you excel at advocating for customer needs and triaging technical issues across hardware, software, applications, and processes. You are proficient in reading code in general-purpose coding languages such as Java, C, C++, Python, Shell, Go, and JavaScript, which allows you to effectively engage in system design discussions. You possess an active Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain one, ensuring you can work within the necessary security frameworks.

Your experience includes managing users, services, and security settings through the Google Workspace admin console, demonstrating your familiarity with general cloud computing concepts and the Google Cloud ecosystem. You understand security protocols and data privacy, and you know how to maintain the security of the Google Workspace domain. You have excellent skills in controlling and configuring core Google Workspace services like Gmail, Drive, and Calendar, which are essential for effective user management.

What you'll do

In this role, you will configure and troubleshoot customer implementations, including networking, identity, security, and integrations. You will capture new customer feature requests unique to the US Public Sector and interact with Google Workspace Product and Engineering teams to scope deliverables. Your subject matter expertise will be crucial for Google Workspace pre-sales and delivery projects, especially for high-priority customer engagements. You will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure that customer needs are met and that implementations are successful, ultimately helping to transform and build what's next for their business using Google Cloud technologies.
