Job Description
Who you are
You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, along with at least 2 years of experience in software development using C and C++. You also have experience working with embedded operating systems, which has equipped you with the skills to tackle complex challenges in device software. Your background may include working with device and kernel drivers, as well as low-level graphics and micro-controllers, making you well-suited for this role.
You are comfortable collaborating with UI/UX designers to develop user-facing applications for wearable devices. Your experience with Python is a plus, as it allows you to contribute to various aspects of the software development process. You are versatile and eager to take on new problems, demonstrating leadership qualities in your work.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing system technologies that enhance the functionality of Fitbit devices. You will write drivers and support for hardware and peripherals, ensuring seamless integration with the software. Your work will directly impact the user experience, as you will develop applications that enable new product features in embedded software.
