Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, along with 8 years of experience in software development using one or more programming languages such as Python, C, C++, Java, or JavaScript. Your experience includes at least 3 years in a technical leadership role, where you've successfully overseen projects and managed teams. You are passionate about creating a safe environment for your team to grow and thrive, and you understand the importance of optimizing both your own code and that of your engineers.

You may also hold a Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field, which further enhances your qualifications. Your expertise in designing and implementing large-scale distributed systems is a key asset, as is your ability to contribute to product strategy and project goals. You are a strong communicator and collaborator, capable of guiding your team through complex challenges while fostering their professional development.

What you'll do

As a Software Engineering Manager at Google, you will lead a team of software engineers, guiding them in the planning, execution, and successful delivery of projects. You will be responsible for setting clear goals and strategies for your team, ensuring that they have the resources and support needed to succeed.
