Who you are
You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, along with 8 years of experience in software development. Your background includes 5 years of experience testing and launching software products, and 3 years of experience with software design and architecture. You are well-versed in full stack development, with expertise in back-end technologies such as Java, Python, Go, or C++, and front-end technologies including JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
You possess strong analytical skills, having worked with data structures and algorithms for at least 8 years. Your experience includes 3 years in a technical leadership role, where you have successfully led project teams and set technical direction. You thrive in complex, matrixed organizations, collaborating on cross-functional or cross-business projects.
What you'll do
As a Staff Software Engineer at Google, you will provide technical leadership on high-impact projects that are critical to Googleβs needs. You will influence and coach a distributed team of engineers, facilitating alignment and clarity across teams on goals, outcomes, and timelines.
