Who you are
You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience and at least 8 years of experience in software development. With 3 years in a technical leadership role and 2 years in people management, you excel at leading cross-functional teams and shaping project direction. Your experience includes building test automation to scale and improving efficiency, particularly in Android system components and mobile development. You possess knowledge of machine learning applications and tools, which enhances your ability to guide your team effectively.
As a Software Engineering Manager, you not only have the technical expertise to lead major projects but also the capability to mentor and grow your team. You understand the importance of optimizing code and ensuring that your engineers can do the same. Your collaborative nature allows you to work seamlessly with various teams across Google, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
Desirable
Experience in managing a wide scope of projects and teams is a plus, as is a background in artificial intelligence and natural language processing. You are comfortable navigating complex systems and can analyze and decompose them to identify root causes and patterns that lead to broader solutions.
