Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, along with 10 years of experience in data analytics, trust and safety, policy, business strategy, or related fields. You possess at least 1 year of experience in people management, leading a team, and you are comfortable influencing cross-functionally at various levels. Your communication and presentation skills are excellent, enabling you to effectively convey complex ideas to diverse audiences.

You are a big-picture thinker and a strategic team player with a passion for promoting user safety and integrity across products. Your experience working with engineering and product teams has equipped you with the technical know-how to create tools and solutions that enhance user safety. You thrive in collaborative environments and are adept at problem-solving, using user insights and proactive communication to tackle challenges.

Desirable

A Master's degree or PhD in a relevant field is preferred, along with 2 years of experience in people management. Familiarity with trust and safety issues in digital products will be advantageous, as will experience in managing high-priority escalations and supporting non-standard operational hours.

What you'll do

In this role, you will manage the Age Appropriateness team at YouTube, focusing on identifying and addressing the biggest challenges related to user safety and product integrity. You will collaborate globally and cross-functionally with Google engineers and product managers to develop strategies that combat abuse and fraud. Your responsibilities will include managing high-priority escalations and determining resource allocation to improve the quality and cost of enforcement.

You will work closely with executive stakeholders across product, engineering, policy, legal, and public relations to ensure alignment on safety initiatives. Your role will require you to maintain strong working relationships and influence decision-making processes at various levels within the organization. You will also be responsible for supporting your team in achieving their goals and fostering a culture of trust and safety.
