Who you are
You have a Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience, along with 8 years of experience in program management. Your background includes 5 years in a leadership role, where you've successfully managed cross-functional projects and teams. You possess a Master's degree in a relevant technical field, such as engineering, physics, or oceanography, which enhances your understanding of the technical challenges involved in subsea cable projects.
Your expertise includes marine permitting and environmental assessments, allowing you to navigate complex regulatory landscapes. You excel in program planning, execution, and stakeholder management, demonstrating the ability to manage organizational change effectively. Your knowledge of subsea cable or marine construction equips you to tackle unique engineering challenges, and your collaborative nature fosters a productive team environment.
What you'll do
As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you will lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects, utilizing your engineering expertise to guide teams through the project lifecycle. You will plan requirements with internal customers and manage project schedules, identifying risks and communicating them clearly to stakeholders. Your role will involve synchronizing strategy between APAC and global leadership, ensuring that all initiatives align with organizational Objectives and Key Results (OKRs).
You will drive executive transparency through reporting and manage key vendor relationships to ensure high-quality, on-schedule, and on-budget delivery. Your ability to explain technical analyses and recommendations to executives, as well as discuss trade-offs in product development with engineers, will be crucial to your success in this role.
