Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience and at least 2 years of programming experience in Python or C++. You possess a solid understanding of data structures and algorithms, and have spent at least a year working with machine learning infrastructure, including model deployment and optimization. Your experience may also include working with speech/audio technologies or reinforcement learning, showcasing your versatility in the AI/ML domain.

You are passionate about developing accessible technologies and have a keen interest in how machine learning can transform user experiences. You thrive in collaborative environments and are eager to tackle complex problems that require innovative solutions. Your educational background may include a Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field, further enhancing your qualifications for this role.

What you'll do

As a Software Engineer III at Google, you will be responsible for developing and optimizing machine learning models that handle information at massive scale. You will work on specific projects critical to Google’s needs, with opportunities to switch teams and projects as the business evolves. Your role will involve implementing solutions in specialized ML areas, utilizing ML infrastructure, and contributing to model optimization and data processing. You will also triage product or system issues, debugging and resolving them by analyzing their sources and impacts on hardware, network, or service operations.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and designers, to ensure that the technologies you develop meet user needs and enhance the overall product experience.
