Data Center Facilities Technician • Mid-Level

Who you are

You have an Associate's degree or equivalent practical experience in a related technical field, along with at least 2 years of Mechanical/HVAC experience in an industrial or commercial environment. You are capable of handling material tasks, including lifting and moving equipment, while adhering to safety guidelines and using personal protective equipment. Your fluency in both English and Mandarin allows you to effectively manage client relationships in the region. You are willing to work non-standard hours and shifts, demonstrating flexibility in your role.

You possess a Bachelor's degree or trade school certification in a relevant technical field, with 3 years of experience in operating and maintaining facilities such as data centers, hospitals, or power plants. Your background includes civil engineering repairs and a solid understanding of mechanical systems used in data centers, including chillers and air handling units. You are adept at communicating with contractors and can work in varying outdoor temperature conditions.

What you'll do

In this role, you will manage the uptime and maintenance of critical systems including water pumps, HVAC, and control systems. You will operate, monitor, and maintain data center facilities systems and equipment, responding to any abnormal conditions that arise. Your responsibilities will also include supporting the startup, commissioning, and integration of new mechanical equipment into the facilities infrastructure. You will collaborate with various teams to ensure that all systems are functioning optimally and that safety protocols are followed.
