Job Description
Who you are
You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, along with 2 years of experience in software development using programming languages such as C and C++. You possess a solid understanding of embedded operating systems and have experience with embedded security, cryptography, or secure coding practices. Your background may include a Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields, and you have hands-on experience in low-level Embedded Firmware Development. You are familiar with ARM and RISC-V architectures and have proficiency in the Rust programming language.
What you'll do
As an Embedded Engineer at Google, you will collaborate with Silicon Engineering and firmware teams to design and deliver integrated security solutions. Your responsibilities will include developing versatile low-level drivers for crypto hardware across multiple architectures and implementing cutting-edge crypto solutions, including adding side-channel protections and formal verification. You will advocate for the adoption of secure technologies and best practices throughout the organization, ensuring that security is a priority in all engineering efforts.
