Who you are
You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, along with 4 years of interaction design experience in product design or UX design. You understand the importance of a strong portfolio and are ready to showcase your work to demonstrate your skills. Your experience includes working in complex, cross-functional organizations, and you have a Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field. You have led design projects and are passionate about creating user-centered designs that resonate with billions of users.
You excel at taking complex tasks and making them intuitive and easy to use. Your design process includes creating user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity prototypes that reflect your vision for user experience. You are comfortable integrating user feedback and business requirements into ongoing product updates, advocating for design-centered changes and improvements.
What you'll do
As an Interaction Designer at Google, you will collaborate closely with multi-disciplinary teams of UX Designers, Researchers, Writers, and Engineers to create industry-leading products. You will be responsible for communicating the user experience at various stages of the design process, using tools like wireframes, flow diagrams, and mockups. Your role will involve gathering insights about user attitudes and behaviors to inform your design decisions, ensuring that the products you design deliver real value to users.
You will lead design projects, integrating user feedback into your work and advocating for design-centered changes. Your responsibilities will include envisioning how users will experience Google products and bringing that vision to life in a way that feels inspired and refined. You will work closely with engineering and product management teams to ensure that your designs are not only beautiful but also functional and aligned with business goals.
