Google is hiring a Display Test Engineer to develop and validate display hardware test systems. You'll work with Python and SQL to analyze data and optimize testing methodologies. This position requires 4+ years of experience in display test development.
Job Description
Who you are
You have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a specialized field, or equivalent practical experience. With at least 4 years of experience in a display test development technical environment, you are well-versed in data analysis within optics or optoelectronics research and development. Your background includes experience with display metrology, color science, visual perception, and image analysis algorithms, making you a strong candidate for this role.
You possess a Master's degree or PhD in a related field, and your experience spans 5 years in display systems testing, calibration, and image analysis. You are familiar with machine vision systems and have a proven track record of deploying, validating, and debugging display hardware test systems. Your expertise in microLED or other emissive display technologies, along with low-noise electrical measurements, sets you apart in this field.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be part of a team that pushes boundaries in developing custom silicon solutions for Google's direct-to-consumer products. You will determine critical metrics impacting display performance and analyze experimental data using tools like Python and SQL. Your ability to clearly communicate results to the broader team will be essential as you collaborate with cross-functional partners, including optical test, CMOS design, software, and data teams, to define test specifications and implement calibration methodologies.
You will optimize test time and methodologies, ensuring that the testing processes are efficient and effective. Your contributions will directly impact the innovation behind products loved by millions worldwide, shaping the next generation of hardware experiences.
