Product Designer • Senior

Who you are

You hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or a related field, and you have at least 5 years of experience working with consumer electronics products. Your expertise includes fault analysis and root cause identification, and you have a proven track record of implementing solutions in manufacturing environments. You are comfortable communicating with diverse technical teams across Asia and the United States, and you have experience launching multiple handheld consumer electronics products. A Master's degree in a related field is preferred, along with 10 years of experience in the industry.

What you'll do

As a Senior Product Designer at Google, you will engage in the design, analysis, and prototyping of new ideas, applying your creativity and diverse engineering experience to solve various technical challenges. You will work in a product-focused development environment, collaborating with suppliers and external resources to transition components into production. Your role will involve designing subsystems and components from concept through to mass production, ensuring functionality, reliability, human factors, manufacturability, and aesthetic requirements are met. You will also monitor subsystem/component suppliers from the ideation phase to mass production, ensuring that designs are practical and meet quality standards.
