Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience in consumer product management or a related technical role, with a strong background in taking technical products from conception to launch. Your experience includes working closely with UX and UXR teams to define user-facing product requirements, ensuring that the end product meets user needs effectively. You possess a solid understanding of AI/ML models and evaluations, which is crucial for this role. Additionally, you have 2 years of experience in software development or engineering, allowing you to communicate effectively with technical teams and understand the complexities involved in product development.

Your qualifications include a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, and a Master's degree or PhD in a technology or business-related field is preferred. You have a proven track record of preparing and delivering technical presentations to senior leadership, showcasing your ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and persuasively. You thrive in cross-functional environments, having worked with engineering, UX/UI, sales, finance, and other stakeholders to drive product success.

What you'll do

As a Product Manager on YouTube Music's Generative AI team, you will oversee the development, integration, and launch of YouTube’s generative music experiences, impacting billions of users across multiple products. You will define the metrics to measure the performance and quality of generative AI tools in production, collaborating with partner teams to establish a shared understanding of success metrics. Your role will involve defining new use cases and innovations that enhance viewer and creator engagement with music, ensuring that the products you manage align with YouTube's mission to empower creativity.

You will lead cross-functional teams in executing product strategies, conducting user research to gather insights that inform product decisions. Your responsibilities will include managing the product roadmap, prioritizing features based on user feedback and business goals, and coordinating with engineering and design teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products. You will also be responsible for analyzing market trends and competitor offerings to identify opportunities for differentiation and growth.
