Who you are
You have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field, along with 15 years of experience in SoC manufacturing development and production ramp. Your extensive experience managing production relationships with foundries, OSATs, equipment, and turnkey chip suppliers has equipped you with a deep understanding of semiconductor fabrication technologies and yield analysis. You are skilled in driving cost and quality initiatives in production, and you have hands-on experience with wafer probe card and ATE hardware development.
Your preferred qualifications include a Master's degree or PhD in a related field, and you have experience applying AI/ML techniques to leverage trends from wafer acceptance testing, physical design, and test yield data to drive process optimizations. You are adept at foundry and OSAT operation management, focusing on yield improvements and diagnosing equipment-related yield losses. Your strong communication skills have been demonstrated through successful management of complex vendor relationships, making you a key player in any team.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be part of a team that pushes boundaries, developing custom silicon solutions that power the future of Google's direct-to-consumer products. You will contribute to the innovation behind products loved by millions, ensuring that parts supplier delivery schedules meet volume ramps. You will build and deploy real-time product health and Work in Progress (WIP) tracking reporting infrastructure encompassing manufacturing performance metrics. Utilizing AI/ML models and data analysis tools, you will identify trends impacting product delivery and apply these techniques to leverage trends from wafer acceptance testing and physical design.
You will also be responsible for managing production relationships with foundries and OSATs, ensuring that all processes are optimized for quality and efficiency. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive initiatives that enhance manufacturing performance and product quality. You will be expected to proactively identify quality or cost problems in the manufacturing flow using Statistical Process Control (SPC) and statistical fundamentals.
