Google is hiring a Senior Firmware Engineer to work on connectivity for Pixel Devices. You'll design, develop, and troubleshoot Bluetooth and BLE technologies. This position requires 7 years of experience in software development.

Who you are
You have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field, along with 7 years of experience in software development using programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Rust. Your expertise includes working with Bluetooth and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technologies, and you have experience integrating with Android-based host devices. You are versatile and enthusiastic about tackling new challenges across the full stack, and you possess strong problem-solving skills that enable you to debug complex connectivity issues.
You are familiar with various protocols and technologies, including Fast Pair and Near-Field Communication (NFC). Your experience includes collaborating with hardware teams for hardware validation and debugging, as well as working with agreement manufacturers to support factory flows. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are eager to contribute fresh ideas that push technology forward.
What you'll do
In this role, you will design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance firmware for connectivity in Pixel Devices. You will manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables while collaborating closely with hardware teams to ensure seamless integration. Your responsibilities will include debugging the connectivity stack on devices and host devices, identifying root causes of issues, and implementing effective solutions during development.
You will also work on integrating various protocols and technologies, ensuring that the firmware meets the high standards expected by Google.
