Job Description
Who you are
You have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. With 8 years of experience in analog mixed signal or high-speed IO development, you've defined and taken designs to High Volume Manufacturing (HVM). Your background includes a Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science, emphasizing wireline silicon architecture and design. You have a track record of technical innovation in mixed-signal and high-speed IO solutions, and experience working on high-performance, data center class IP from concept through high-volume deployment.
You are passionate about pushing boundaries and developing custom silicon solutions that power the future of Google's direct-to-consumer products. Your expertise will shape the next generation of hardware experiences, delivering unparalleled performance, efficiency, and integration. You have knowledge in wireline communications, analog circuit design, and Digital Signal Processor (DSP) technologies, and are familiar with channel behavior (S-parameters), signal integrity, and jitter using tools like MATLAB.
What you'll do
In this role, you will contribute to the innovation behind products loved by millions worldwide. You will bring up new silicon, characterize performance, and test for electrical compliance in lab environments. Collaborating with packaging, board design, and firmware teams, you will ensure seamless integration into System-on-Chips (SoCs). You will adhere to standards like IEEE or OIF for high-speed protocols and optimize power consumption. Your contributions will directly impact the strategic Data Center silicon, making you an early and key contributor in a nascent high-growth team.
What we offer
At Google, you will be part of a team that values innovation and collaboration. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement. You will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies that power Google's most demanding Compute and AI/ML applications. Join us in shaping the future of hardware experiences and enjoy a competitive compensation package.
