Job Description
Who you are
You have 7+ years of experience in data analytics, Trust and Safety, or cyber-security — you've developed a strong understanding of how to protect users and ensure product integrity. Your educational background includes a Bachelor's degree, and you may also hold a Master's degree or PhD, which enhances your analytical capabilities.
You are proficient in SQL and have experience building dashboards and visualizations — your technical skills allow you to transform data into actionable insights. Additionally, you are familiar with a scripting or programming language, such as Python, which aids in your ability to automate processes and analyze data efficiently.
Your communication skills are exceptional, both written and verbal — you can influence key stakeholders across various geographies and levels, ensuring that everyone is aligned towards continuous improvement in operations. You thrive in cross-functional environments, collaborating with engineers and product managers to tackle complex challenges.
You are a strategic thinker with a passion for user safety — your role in the Trust & Safety team involves identifying and addressing significant issues that affect the integrity of Google’s products. You take pride in your ability to work globally and cross-functionally, ensuring that user safety is prioritized in all product launches.
Desirable
A Master's degree or PhD is preferred, as it demonstrates a deeper level of expertise in your field. Experience in handling escalations with a fast turnaround time is also a plus, as it showcases your ability to manage urgent situations effectively.
What you'll do
As a Policy Enforcement Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the safety and integrity of Google products, including YouTube, Search, Maps, and Gmail. You will partner with stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Business Analytics, and Vendor Operations to ensure that new products launch in a safe and trusted manner.
Your role will involve reviewing graphic, controversial, and offensive content in line with YouTube’s Community Guidelines — you will handle escalations and define the best plans to address issues promptly. You will also be tasked with using your technical know-how and problem-solving skills to protect users from abuse and fraud.
You will work closely with a tight-knit, global team, contributing to Trust and Safety’s verticals and ensuring that every product meets the highest safety standards. Your ability to influence and communicate effectively will be crucial in driving initiatives that promote trust in Google’s services.
