Job Description

Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or an IT-related field, or equivalent practical experience. With 10 years of experience in outbound product management or related technical/product roles, you have a proven track record of taking technical products from conception to launch. You possess a deep understanding of the cloud storage landscape, including Object, Block, and File storage, as well as data lifecycle management. Your experience includes managing relationships with industry analyst firms and successfully collaborating on placements in major market reports. You are adept at engaging with engineering leadership on architecture and features, translating them into benefits without losing technical accuracy. You thrive in cross-functional environments and are excited to work on products that affect millions of people every day.

Desirable

Experience serving as an Editor-in-Chief for technical product lines, including published blogs, whitepapers, or public speaking engagements would be a plus. You have orchestrated multi-stakeholder product launches that resulted in measurable shifts in market perception or adoption. Your ability to break down complex problems into actionable steps drives product development and aligns with business objectives.

What you'll do

In this role, you will work cross-functionally to guide products from conception to launch, connecting the technical and business worlds. You will define and track business and product metrics to validate market opportunities and measure the impact of outbound narratives on market perception and product adoption. You will partner across Engineering, Marketing, and Business to align product naming, tiering, and business enablement, bridging technical truth and field execution. Your responsibilities will include engaging with stakeholders to ensure product alignment with market needs and driving the execution of product strategies that resonate with both technical architects and C-suite executives. You will also be responsible for conducting user research to understand customer requirements and market trends, ensuring that the products you manage meet the evolving needs of users.

What we offer

At Google, we put our users first and foster an environment that encourages continuous adaptation and innovation. You will have the opportunity to work on products that have a significant impact on the cloud storage ecosystem. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement, as we value diverse perspectives and backgrounds. Join us in shaping the future of cloud storage and making a difference in the lives of millions of users worldwide.
