Overview

Google is hiring a Senior Product Manager for their Generative AI team to guide products from conception to launch. You'll work cross-functionally with engineering and UX/UI teams, leveraging your expertise in Generative AI. This position requires 10 years of experience in product management.

Who you are

You have 10 years of experience in product management or a related technical role, with a strong background in taking technical products from conception to launch. Your expertise in Generative AI or Large Language Models sets you apart, and you are comfortable working cross-functionally with engineering, UX/UI, and other stakeholders. You possess a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, and a Master's degree in a technology or business-related field is preferred. You have a proven track record of preparing and delivering technical presentations to senior leadership, showcasing your ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.

You have 5 years of experience in software development or engineering, which gives you a solid understanding of the technical aspects of product management. Your knowledge of accessibility best practices and your curiosity about incorporating these into product development methodologies demonstrate your commitment to creating inclusive products. You thrive in environments where you can adapt to changing circumstances and are excited to work on products that impact millions of users.

What you'll do

In this role, you will oversee the product narrative and direction, ensuring that the outcome is greater than the sum of its parts. You will lead the team in defining, identifying, collecting, and tracking appropriate product or business metrics, both quantitative and qualitative, for new or existing products or business ventures. Your responsibilities will include guiding products from conception to launch, connecting the technical and business worlds, and breaking down complex problems into actionable steps that drive product development.

You will collaborate closely with engineering, UX/UI, sales, finance, and other stakeholders to ensure that product development aligns with business goals. Your role will involve validating market size and opportunity, as well as leading cross-functional teams to achieve product objectives. You will be responsible for defining success metrics and ensuring that the team meets its goals while maintaining a user-first approach in all product decisions.
