Who you are

You have 6+ years of program management experience within design or UX organizations — you've successfully led UX-related projects and are well-versed in user-centered development tools and methodologies. Your educational background includes a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience, which has equipped you with the necessary skills to thrive in a technology or creative environment.

Your experience managing UX projects and working with cross-functional teams, including Design, Research, Engineering, and Product, has honed your facilitation and stakeholder management skills. You understand the product development lifecycle and have vendor management experience, allowing you to navigate complex project landscapes effectively.

You are passionate about user experience and understand the importance of focusing on the user — you believe that all else will follow when user needs are prioritized. Your ability to communicate clearly and accurately with cross-functional teams and management regarding project status, issues, and priorities is one of your key strengths.

Desirable

You have 7+ years of experience in program management, operations, or a related field, which further enhances your capability to drive projects within UX organizations. Your familiarity with the latest UX design trends and methodologies makes you a valuable asset to any team.

What you'll do

As a Senior UX Program Manager at Google, you will drive projects within our UX organizations by increasing communication and connection points, streamlining the UX design process, and fostering a culture of user-centered development. You will own, maintain, and facilitate the team’s product lifecycle process, tools, and documentation, ensuring that changes are made for team optimization while balancing velocity and quality thresholds.

You will provide strategic counsel through all program interactions, ensuring that the UX team collaborates effectively with engineering and product management to create industry-leading products. Your role will involve gathering insights about user attitudes, emotions, and behaviors to inspire and inform design decisions.

You will be responsible for managing project timelines, resources, and deliverables, ensuring that all stakeholders are aligned and informed throughout the project lifecycle. Your ability to facilitate discussions and manage stakeholder expectations will be crucial in driving project success.
