Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience and at least 5 years of experience with security assessments, security design reviews, or threat modeling. Your background includes 5 years of experience in security engineering, computer and network security, and security protocols. You also possess 5 years of coding experience in one or more general-purpose languages, along with 1 year of experience leading teams in a technical capacity or conducting technical risk analysis in an enterprise environment.

Your expertise extends to data privacy and security systems, with a strong focus on vulnerability management, security research, and vulnerability investigation. You are familiar with software release management and understand the importance of maintaining a secure operating environment for users and developers.

What you'll do

As a Senior Security Engineer on the Chrome team, you will work closely with network equipment and actively monitor systems for attacks and intrusions. Your role involves collaborating with software engineers to proactively identify and fix security flaws and vulnerabilities. You will take ownership of managing security outcomes in Chrome, which includes conducting security reviews, consulting, and participating in the Vulnerability Rewards Program (VRP).

You will lead key security outreach efforts, manage the security post-mortem process, and provide security expertise and guidance to Chrome engineering and business teams. Additionally, you will validate and triage reports of security issues from internal teams, automation, and external security reporters, and participate in incident response for Chrome security incidents.
