Who you are
You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience and at least 5 years of experience in software development, particularly with programming languages like C. Your background includes 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, along with 1 year of experience in software design and architecture. You have a strong understanding of embedded operating systems and have worked extensively in this domain.
Your qualifications include a Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field, and you possess 5 years of experience with data structures and algorithms. You are familiar with the Android domain, embedded processors, Linux kernel, drivers, and Board Support Packages (BSP). Your expertise extends to performance analysis and optimization in embedded systems, and you have knowledge of microcontrollers, SoC, device drivers, hardware bringup, power management, ARM processors, file systems, bootloaders, firmware, and hardware/software integration.
What you'll do
As a Senior Software Engineer at Google, you will work on critical projects that shape the future of the Pixel Watch. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive changes to WearOS and Android, focusing on power, performance, and battery life. You will engage in new board bringup and work with SoC manufacturers to debug software issues, ensuring high standards of security in areas such as secure boot and secure elements.
You will also be involved in performance analysis and optimization, contributing to the development of next-generation technologies that impact billions of users. Your role will require you to stay updated with the latest advancements in embedded systems and software engineering, applying your knowledge to enhance the user experience and functionality of Google's products.
