Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience. With 5 years of experience in manufacturing test development or a similar role, you are skilled in generating test plans and executing tests accordingly. You have experience developing manufacturing test stations using custom electronics, fixtures, and equipment, and you are proficient in developing test scripts using Python or other scripting languages.

You hold a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science, which enhances your expertise. Your 5 years of experience in architecture and developing complex manufacturing test solutions for data center hardware, particularly networking and optics products, sets you apart. You are adept at creating end-to-end manufacturing test strategies that encompass structural, functional, and system tests. Your ability to engage and collaborate with international teams and contract manufacturers is a key asset, and you are willing to travel internationally as needed.

What you'll do

As a Manufacturing Test Development Engineer at Google, you will evaluate product designs and create the manufacturing test processes, tools, and procedures that power Google’s Data Centers. You will design, build, and deploy test platforms for Google's global manufacturing partners, ensuring that the manufacturing test processes are efficient and effective. Your role will involve analyzing, troubleshooting, and root causing manufacturing yield issues and field escapes, driving issues to closure with preventive measures. You will define the manufacturing test strategy for new products and work closely with partners to develop the required test solutions, ensuring that the highest standards are met in the manufacturing process.
