Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, along with 10 years of experience in an applied research setting. Your background includes at least 5 years of experience leading design projects and managing teams, showcasing your ability to guide and inspire others. You possess a PhD degree, which is preferred, and have a strong foundation in human factors, design, and qualitative research. Your experience includes delivering high-quality products that incorporate aspects of hardware, particularly in the realm of physical interactions and wearable devices. You have a solid understanding of statistics and the principles of experimental design, enabling you to generate study protocols and manage research assistants effectively.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for guiding the careers of your team members, working closely with each of them to help them realize their full potential. As a Senior Staff UX Research Manager, you will collaborate cross-functionally with Engineers, Product Managers, Researchers, and Industrial and Interaction Designers to solve problems and prioritize user experience research questions. You will identify opportunities for high-impact research and execute on them, guiding the informational needs of the product engineering team to deliver high-quality products. Your leadership will help define and drive the future of Google design, ensuring that user experience remains at the forefront of product development.
