Who you are
You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, along with 5 years of experience in software development, particularly in C++. Your background includes at least 3 years of experience in testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and you have a year of experience with software design and architecture. You possess strong problem-solving and communication skills, enabling you to work both independently and collaboratively.
Your expertise extends to Linux development, Android Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL) development, device driver development, or camera system development. You have a proven ability to develop software solutions that enhance user experiences, particularly in mobile technology.
What you'll do
As a Senior Software Engineer on the Pixel Camera team, you will design and implement the camera system software stack from concept to execution. Your role will involve introducing innovative camera technologies to deliver an industry-leading mobile camera experience. You will measure, optimize, monitor, and improve system stability, performance, and overall software quality. Collaboration with cross-functional teams across multiple organizations will be essential to ensure product delivery and maximize impact.
You will be responsible for shaping the future of Pixel devices and services, working on advanced designs and techniques that integrate Google's artificial intelligence, software, and hardware. Your contributions will directly influence how users connect, explore, and interact with information and one another through their devices.
