Job Description
Who you are
You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, along with at least 2 years of experience in software development or 1 year with an advanced degree in an industry setting. Your background includes developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems, or networks, and you have experience with compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture. You possess a Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields, and you have 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms. Your experience also includes developing accessible technologies and working with storage and virtualization technologies.
What you'll do
As a Software Engineer at Google, you will work on critical projects that shape the future of technology. You will be involved in developing next-generation technologies that change how billions of users connect and interact with information. Your role will require you to triage product or system issues, debug, track, and resolve problems by analyzing the sources of issues and their impact on hardware, network, or service operations. You will also review code developed by other engineers, providing feedback to ensure adherence to best practices, including style guidelines, accuracy, testability, and efficiency.
