Who you are
You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience and at least 8 years of software development experience, programming in languages such as C++, Java, Python, Kotlin, or Go. You possess a strong background in testing and launching software products, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in software design and architecture. Your expertise includes security, privacy, and compliance, and you have experience as a technical lead, mentoring and coaching other engineers. You also have a solid understanding of data structures and algorithms, with 8 years of experience in this area, and have spent 5 years in a technical leadership role, guiding project teams and setting technical direction.
What you'll do
As a Senior Staff Software Engineer, you will work on critical projects that align with Google's needs, developing next-generation technologies that impact billions of users. You will manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables while collaborating with related engineering teams, product management, and program management to ensure the timely development of high-quality solutions. Your role will involve mentoring and developing other team members, influencing and coaching a distributed team of engineers, and ensuring that the solutions you create meet the highest standards of quality and compliance. You will also have opportunities to switch teams and projects as Google's fast-paced business evolves, allowing you to grow and expand your skill set.
