Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, along with at least 2 years of experience in software development using Go, Python, and C#. You possess a solid understanding of large language models, natural language processing, and generative AI, with at least 1 year of experience in these areas. Additionally, you have experience with ML infrastructure, including model deployment, evaluation, optimization, and debugging. Your familiarity with Google Cloud Platform and its security offerings will be a significant asset in this role.

You are a versatile engineer who brings fresh ideas from various domains, including information retrieval, distributed computing, and large-scale system design. Desirable

Experience in applied machine learning, particularly in computer vision or generative AI, will be beneficial. If you have industry experience in applied machine learning or machine learning research, that will further enhance your candidacy.

What you'll do

As a Software Engineer III in Security Operations, you will design and develop core components of the AI Chat infrastructure using Go. Your responsibilities will include building scalable and reliable services for managing real-time communication and user sessions, as well as integrating with AI models. You will research and identify new AI technologies and techniques that can be applied to improve the SecOps Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR) platform. You will work on specific projects critical to Google Cloud's needs, with opportunities to switch teams and projects as the business evolves.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers and designers, to anticipate customer needs and deliver innovative solutions. Your role will require you to stay updated on the latest advancements in AI and machine learning, ensuring that your contributions align with Google's mission to change how billions of users connect and interact with information.
