You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, along with 7 years of experience in data analysis — you've identified trends, generated summary statistics, and drawn insights from both quantitative and qualitative data. Your project management skills are well-honed, allowing you to define project scope, goals, and deliverables effectively. A Master's degree in a quantitative discipline is preferred, and you have familiarity with machine learning systems, which enhances your analytical capabilities.
Your technical skills include proficiency in one or more programming languages such as SQL, R, Python, or C++ — you understand how to leverage these tools to analyze data and derive meaningful insights. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are part of your toolkit, enabling you to convey complex ideas clearly and effectively. You thrive in collaborative environments, synthesizing expertise across cross-functional teams to prioritize issues and create testing strategies.
What you'll do
In this role, you will apply critical thinking and leadership skills to analyze risks and opportunities presented by Generative AI models and product features. You will design a responsibility strategy that balances innovation with safety, ensuring that YouTube remains a safe platform for users and content creators. Your responsibilities extend beyond launch to include post-launch monitoring and analysis of machine learning model performance, particularly focusing on Large Language Models (LLMs).
You will manage multiple executive stakeholders, influencing safety strategy and operational execution at all levels. Your role involves making business decisions, identifying gaps or business needs, and innovating and scaling solutions to address these challenges. You will also engage in statistical analysis and hypothesis testing to evaluate the performance of machine learning models, ensuring that they meet the high standards expected by users and stakeholders alike.
