Who you are
You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience and at least 8 years of experience programming in C++. Your background includes 5 years of experience with design, architecture, and testing/launching software products. You possess a deep understanding of ARM and x86 CPUs, operating systems, cloud computing, and computer architecture. You have a Master's degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field, and 8 years of experience with data structures and algorithms. Your experience includes 5 years in a technical leadership role, guiding project teams and setting technical direction, along with 3 years working on cross-functional projects.
You are well-versed in server CPU and system architecture, benchmarking, and open-source technologies. You thrive in environments that require collaboration with hardware, software, and system engineers to ensure seamless integration and optimization. You are passionate about developing next-generation technologies that impact billions of users and are eager to bring fresh ideas from various domains, including distributed computing and large-scale system design.
What you'll do
In this role, you will lead and mentor a team of engineers, providing technical guidance and fostering a culture of innovation. You will design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance large-scale software solutions critical to Googleβs needs. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that software products meet high standards of performance and reliability. You will also contribute to the development of industry standards in x86 and custom ARM silicon server architecture. As you work on specific projects, you will have opportunities to switch teams and projects as Googleβs fast-paced business evolves.
