Who you are
You have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, along with 8 years of experience managing and building teams. Your background includes 8 years in telecommunications, specifically working with optical network infrastructure, transmission systems, and layer 2/3 routers. You possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and you excel in managing multiple priorities in an ambiguous operations environment.
Your experience with analytical coding and frameworks such as SQL, R, Go, or Python allows you to define system or process requirements effectively. You have a proven ability to collaborate with diverse teams, demonstrating excellent communication, organizational, and prioritization skills. You are detail-oriented and have a knack for delivering results in a timely manner.
What you'll do
As a Technical Lead, you will oversee the Network Engineering team, ensuring the reliable operation of Google's complex network that serves millions of users globally. You will be responsible for monitoring network performance, coordinating planned maintenance, and addressing network connectivity issues. Your role will involve leading the team by setting strategic goals and empowering members to overcome obstacles while fostering their professional growth.
You will also be tasked with ensuring consistent network designs that support demand admission within product service level objectives, adhere to standards, and minimize total cost of ownership.
