Who you are
You have a Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience, along with 8 years of experience in program management. Your background includes at least 5 years in a leadership role, where you've successfully managed cross-functional projects. You possess a strong ability to keep the big picture in focus while diving into unique engineering challenges, making you an effective leader in complex environments.
Your experience has equipped you with the skills to explain analyses and recommendations to executives, as well as discuss technical trade-offs in product development with engineers. You thrive in environments that require both technical expertise and leadership, managing various engineering-specific programs and teams effectively.
What you'll do
As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you will lead multi-disciplinary engineering projects, planning requirements with internal customers and guiding projects through their entire lifecycle. Your responsibilities will include managing project schedules, identifying risks, and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You will ensure that governance structures expose and mitigate dependencies, while also identifying change management opportunities that increase program velocity across multiple teams.
You will define and manage a program portfolio that focuses on solving high-impact business problems for the organization and product area. Your role will require you to apply your extensive technical and leadership expertise to drive executive decision-making and ensure effective governance over change management processes.
