Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience, along with at least 2 years of experience in technical program management. Your background includes managing the software development life-cycle and delivering high-availability, distributed systems. You are comfortable working with cross-functional teams and have experience in managing projects that require collaboration across different departments.

Your technical expertise includes knowledge of object-oriented programming languages and experience with scalable and reliable systems or cloud services. You have a strong understanding of supply chain solutions, having managed the development or customization of platforms like SAP, JDA, or Kinaxis. You are adept at problem-solving and believe that a problem isn’t truly solved until it’s resolved for all stakeholders involved.

What you'll do

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you will lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You will work closely with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, and manage project schedules. Your role will involve communicating clearly with cross-functional partners across the company, ensuring that everyone is aligned on project goals and deliverables.

You will initiate new software development programs, outlining goals, objectives, and defining program controls, governance, and standards. Your responsibilities will include providing management with forecasts of project deliverables and detailed status updates, ensuring that projects are on track and meeting performance expectations.

You will set the direction for programs, driving features that enhance performance, scale, functionality, security, quality, and efficiency. Your ability to explain technical trade-offs in product development to both executives and engineers will be crucial in this role. You will also be responsible for managing the complexities of cross-team projects, ensuring that all aspects of the project are coordinated effectively.
