Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience, along with 8 years of experience in program management. Your expertise includes setting up enterprise risk management programs and developing quantitative risk management frameworks to measure and mitigate operational risks. You are familiar with coding and have a strong understanding of data center operations, incident management processes, and operational metrics such as availability SLAs, MTTR, and MTBF.

Your experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects has equipped you with strong stakeholder engagement and management skills. You excel at storytelling to drive prioritization decisions using data, ensuring that problems are solved comprehensively. You thrive in environments where you can leverage your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish.

What you'll do

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you will lead the charge in data center risk management, working closely with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, and manage project schedules. You will create executive presentations of findings and recommended actions for DCOps and higher leadership, ensuring that both qualitative and quantitative metrics are leveraged to measure the effectiveness of the risk program. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional partners across the company, explaining analyses and recommendations to executives, and discussing technical trade-offs in product development with engineers.

You will be responsible for delivering risk management training and ensuring operational resilience within the data center environment. Your ability to understand complex systems, particularly in relation to data center power and cooling infrastructure, will be crucial in driving improvements to the risk program. You will also be tasked with identifying risks and developing strategies to mitigate them, ensuring that the data center operations run smoothly and efficiently.
