Who you are
You are a recent graduate with a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field — your academic background has equipped you with a solid understanding of semiconductor design and verification processes. You have a keen interest in AI and are eager to apply your knowledge in a practical setting, contributing to the development of cutting-edge technology. You are a collaborative team player who enjoys working closely with others to solve complex problems and bring innovative ideas to life.
You possess a foundational knowledge of EDA tools and are excited to learn more about their application in silicon design — your coursework has introduced you to the principles of logical design and verification methodologies, and you are ready to deepen your expertise in these areas. You are detail-oriented and have a strong analytical mindset, allowing you to approach challenges methodically and effectively.

Desirable

What you'll do
As a Graduate Silicon Engineer at Graphcore, you will be part of a dynamic team responsible for designing and verifying silicon chips that power AI compute technologies. You will collaborate with the Logical Design and DFT team to translate architectural intent into testable RTL, ensuring that the designs meet the required specifications. You will engage with various teams, including Architectural, Verification, and Physical teams, to define microarchitecture and contribute to the overall design process.
You will learn and apply modern verification methodologies, including constrained random test generation and functional coverage, to ensure that our chips perform accurately according to their specifications. Your role will involve iterating on designs and verification processes, providing you with hands-on experience in the semiconductor industry.
You will have the opportunity to work with leading EDA tools and gain insights into the latest technologies in silicon design. This role will allow you to develop your technical skills while contributing to innovative projects that have a significant impact on the future of AI.
