Overview

Groupon is seeking a Senior Manager for SEC Reporting to lead the preparation and filing of external financial reports. You'll ensure accuracy in financial communications and partner with technical accounting teams. This role requires extensive experience in financial reporting and compliance.

Who you are

You have over 5 years of experience in financial reporting, particularly with SEC filings, and a strong understanding of compliance regulations. Your expertise includes preparing and reviewing financial statements, ensuring accuracy and consistency across all external communications. You are detail-oriented and possess excellent analytical skills, allowing you to evaluate complex accounting matters effectively. You thrive in a collaborative environment, working closely with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals. Your ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to stakeholders is one of your key strengths. You are proactive in staying updated on changes in regulations and accounting standards, ensuring that your team is always compliant.

Desirable

Experience with FASB regulations and a background in public accounting are highly desirable. Familiarity with financial software and reporting tools will give you an edge in this role.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead the preparation, review, and timely filing of all external financial reports, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, and proxy statements with the SEC. You will assist in the tie-out and review of financial data in earnings releases and investor presentations, ensuring that all communications are consistent and accurate. You will partner with Corporate Accounting’s technical accounting function to evaluate complex accounting matters and the impacts of new FASB and SEC regulations. Your leadership will be crucial in managing the SEC reporting process and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. You will also mentor and guide your team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
