Overview

Guidepoint is hiring a Digital Copy Editor I to manage and maintain the company’s digital library of teleconferences. You'll ensure high-quality output of client-generated transcripts and apply your proofreading skills. This role is based in Mumbai with hybrid work options.

Who you are

You are an experienced Digital Copy Editor with a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of editorial standards. Your superior proofreading skills allow you to ensure that all supporting text reflects the highest quality and accuracy. You have a solid grasp of AP style and in-house guidelines, which you apply consistently in your work. You are comfortable working in a digital environment and have the technical awareness necessary to navigate and manage digital content effectively.

You possess excellent communication skills and can collaborate effectively with a team of digital copy editors. Your editorial judgment is sharp, enabling you to guarantee timely and high-quality output of client-generated transcripts. You understand the importance of anonymity and compliance, ensuring that personally identifiable information is redacted appropriately. You are organized and detail-oriented, capable of cataloging a digital library of transcripts efficiently.

What you'll do

In this role, you will exercise outstanding editorial judgment to guarantee the timely and high-quality output of client-generated transcripts, which include conversations between analysts and subject-matter experts. You will proofread text and perform basic copy edits for consistency, accuracy, and clarity based on AP style and in-house style guidelines. Anonymizing transcripts by redacting personally identifiable information such as speaker names will be a key responsibility. You will also create transcript titles based on in-house guidelines and identify key companies discussed to help catalog the digital library of transcripts.

You will communicate as part of a team of digital copy editors to ensure high editorial quality across all outputs. Your role will involve maintaining the company’s growing digital library of teleconferences, ensuring that all content meets Guidepoint’s standards for quality and accuracy. You will be expected to stay updated on best practices in digital editing and contribute to the continuous improvement of editorial processes within the team.
