Who you are
You have experience in managing operations within a shipping or logistics environment, overseeing teams to ensure efficient and safe operations. You are skilled in coaching and guiding associates, fostering a productive work atmosphere while adhering to safety and quality standards. Your communication skills allow you to effectively interact with employees and management, ensuring that all tasks are completed with minimal supervision. You are certified in operating material handling equipment and understand the importance of maintaining equipment and reporting issues promptly.
What you'll do
As the Area Manager, Shipping, you will supervise a team of 10-15 employees, ensuring they are properly trained and that shipping activities are conducted efficiently and safely. You will communicate daily with carriers to ensure on-time compliance and collaborate with other departments within the distribution center to solve problems. Your responsibilities will include maintaining discipline and morale among your team, investigating personnel issues, and supporting management directives. You will also be responsible for enforcing safety, GMP, and SQF policies, ensuring that all operations meet the required standards.
