Overview

HomeVision is hiring a Frontend Engineer to evolve their products and enhance user experience in the home valuation industry. You'll work with technologies like React, TypeScript, and Go. This position requires strong experience in full-stack development.

Job Description

Who you are

You have strong experience in full-stack development on both backend and frontend systems and frameworks — your expertise allows you to navigate complex technical challenges and deliver user-centric solutions. You possess proven working experience in Unix/Linux environments and on distributed systems, which enables you to build scalable applications that meet user needs effectively. Your ability to learn and master new programming languages and technologies is a key asset, allowing you to adapt to the evolving tech landscape. You have a strong empathy for end users and can think holistically about the product, ensuring that every feature you develop enhances the overall user experience.

Desirable

Experience in scientific and numerical computing (e.g., numpy, scipy, scikit-learn, tensorflow, pytorch, jupyter) is considered a plus, as it complements your technical skill set and enhances your problem-solving capabilities. Familiarity with workflow automation products and the home appraisal industry will give you an edge in understanding the specific needs of our core user base.

What you'll do

In this role, you will work on a modern React/TypeScript and Golang stack, building workflow automation products for our core user base of home appraisal professionals. You will be empowered to work on the entire product, not just a specific layer of the stack, which means you will have the opportunity to productionize valuation models, optimize customer onboarding, and build frontend data visualizations that communicate results in a humane, intuitive way. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers and designers, to ensure that the products you develop align with user needs and business goals. Your contributions will directly impact the efficiency and transparency of the home valuation and appraisal industry, making a meaningful difference in the lives of our users.

What we offer

HomeVision offers a competitive salary and a meaningful equity package, along with comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage. We provide a 401k plan, paternity/maternity leave, and a flexible vacation policy to support your work-life balance. You will enjoy a high degree of autonomy and ownership of your work, with ample support for your professional goals and learning within and beyond the company, through your manager and peers. Join us in transforming the home valuation industry and making a positive impact on the US housing market.
