You have senior-level experience in frontend development, particularly with React, and are skilled in building high-quality web applications from the ground up. You possess a strong understanding of TypeScript and have experience working with cloud services, particularly GCP. You thrive in a collaborative environment, working closely with product managers and fellow engineers to ensure alignment and deliver exceptional user experiences.

You are a proactive problem solver who can drive towards solutions in a thoughtful and creative manner. Your ability to work autonomously while maintaining strong communication with your team is key to your success. You are familiar with best practices in web development and are eager to explore engineering improvements for both the team and the product.

What you'll do

In this role, you will design, build, and review code for Hopper's HTS Checkout web frontend, ensuring that it meets the highest standards of quality and performance. You will collaborate cross-functionally with product teams and other Hopper teams, contributing to the development of new features that enhance the travel experience for users. Your day-to-day will involve operating autonomously while maintaining close alignment with your fellow engineers and product managers.

You will explore engineering improvements and contribute to the evolution of the frontend tech stack, which is primarily built using React and TypeScript. Your role will also involve providing best-in-class support to help partners scale their businesses, ensuring that the checkout solution remains competitive in the market. You will be part of a team that values asynchronous decision-making and operates with minimal meetings, allowing for a focus on productivity and innovation.
