Innophos is hiring an EHS Specialist to provide leadership and training in Safety, Health, and Environmental practices. You'll assist with compliance programs and work closely with regulatory agencies across two Illinois locations. This role requires a strong understanding of EHS performance in a manufacturing setting.
Job Description
Who you are
You have a solid background in Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) practices, ideally with experience in a manufacturing environment. You understand the importance of compliance and have a keen eye for detail, ensuring that all safety protocols are followed diligently. Your ability to communicate effectively allows you to train others and foster a culture of safety within the organization. You are comfortable working under the guidance of a site EHS Manager and are proactive in identifying areas for improvement in EHS performance.
Desirable
Experience working with regulatory agencies is a plus, as you may act as a liaison when necessary. Familiarity with compliance programs, procedures, and policies will help you excel in this role. You are adaptable and can thrive in both office and manufacturing settings, understanding the unique challenges each environment presents.
What you'll do
In this role, you will provide EHS leadership and training to ensure continuous improvement in safety performance across two facilities. You will assist in the administration of compliance programs, ensuring that all procedures and policies are up to date and effectively communicated to staff. Your responsibilities will include conducting training sessions, performing safety audits, and identifying potential hazards in the workplace. You will work closely with the EHS Manager to develop strategies for enhancing safety culture and compliance within the organization.
You will also be responsible for maintaining records related to EHS compliance and reporting any incidents or near misses to the appropriate stakeholders. Your role may involve liaising with regulatory agencies to ensure that the company meets all legal requirements and standards. You will be expected to stay informed about changes in EHS regulations and best practices, implementing necessary adjustments to company policies as needed.
