Your deep expertise in Java and Spring allows you to create high-performance APIs that handle real-time data efficiently, ensuring that the systems you build are both reliable and scalable.

You are familiar with REST API design and understand the importance of creating seamless integrations with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems — your experience has taught you how to turn raw data into actionable insights that improve healthcare outcomes. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that technical solutions align with business goals.

Your knowledge of PostgreSQL enables you to optimize database performance and ensure data integrity — you have a strong grasp of data modeling and can design schemas that support complex queries. You are also comfortable working with AWS, leveraging cloud services to enhance system capabilities and scalability.

You are committed to driving a culture of technical excellence within your team — you believe in the importance of code reviews, testing strategies, and documentation to maintain high standards in software development. You understand that mentorship is key to team growth and enjoy sharing your knowledge with junior engineers.

What you'll do

As a Senior Backend Engineer at Inspiren, you will play a crucial role in evolving the architecture of our core systems — you will partner with engineering leadership to transition from a point-to-point architecture to a more resilient, event-driven system. Your work will directly impact our ability to scale and improve the quality of care provided to residents.

You will be responsible for enhancing our data pipelines, ensuring that they are robust and capable of processing real-time data from our hardware devices. This involves designing and implementing APIs that facilitate seamless data flow between our systems and our customers' EHR systems.

You will collaborate with product managers and other stakeholders to define requirements and translate them into technical specifications — your ability to communicate effectively will be key in ensuring that everyone is aligned on project goals. You will also participate in code reviews and contribute to the overall improvement of our development processes.

Your role will involve monitoring system performance and troubleshooting issues as they arise — you will be proactive in identifying potential bottlenecks and implementing solutions to enhance system reliability. You will also stay updated on industry trends and best practices, continuously seeking ways to improve our technology stack.
