Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience in data engineering, with a strong background in building and maintaining data platforms that support real-time analytics and insights. Your expertise in cloud technologies, particularly AWS, allows you to design scalable and efficient data solutions that meet business needs. You are familiar with data ingestion tools like Kafka and Kinesis, and you understand the importance of data governance and management in a production environment.

You thrive in collaborative settings, working closely with engineering, data science, and product analytics teams to define and implement the future of data infrastructure. Your ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders makes you an effective team player. You are proactive in monitoring infrastructure needs and costs, ensuring that the data platform evolves with the organization’s requirements.

Desirable

Experience with Databricks is a plus, as is familiarity with data orchestration tools and frameworks. You have a keen interest in data quality and provenance, and you are always looking for ways to improve data accessibility for consumers across the organization.

What you'll do

In this role, you will own and maintain Inspiren's data infrastructure, ensuring it is robust and scalable to support the company's growth. You will collaborate with various teams to understand their data needs and shape the future of the data platform. Your responsibilities will include defining and implementing a live ingestion layer for data, utilizing tools like Kafka and Kinesis to ensure seamless data flow.

You will also define standards for data storage, compute, and management, ensuring that best practices are followed across the organization. Monitoring current infrastructure performance and forecasting future needs will be key to your success, as you will need to adapt the platform to meet evolving business requirements.

Additionally, you will implement role-based access management to ensure data security and compliance. Your work will involve designing reusable tooling and frameworks that empower data consumers to access and utilize data effectively, driving better decision-making across the company.
