Who you are

You have a strong background in information security, particularly in incident response, with at least 5 years of experience in managing security incidents and coordinating technical teams during crises. Your analytical skills allow you to dive deep into complex investigations, understanding sophisticated abuse cases and developing effective responses. You are proficient in leveraging automation to enhance security operations, ensuring that defenses scale effectively with the growing demands of a digital financial platform.

You possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to provide clear, data-driven updates to stakeholders during critical incidents. Your ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams is essential, as you will coordinate efforts between technical and non-technical personnel to ensure a swift and effective response to security threats. You are passionate about building a culture of security awareness and resilience within the organization.

Desirable

Experience with security frameworks and compliance standards is a plus, as is familiarity with cloud security practices. You may also have certifications such as CISSP or CISM, which demonstrate your commitment to the field of information security.

What you'll do

In this role, you will act as the technical Incident Commander during major security incidents, coordinating the response efforts and ensuring that all technical workstreams are aligned. You will lead investigations into security breaches, analyzing data to identify the root causes and implementing measures to prevent future occurrences. Your work will involve developing and refining incident response plans, ensuring that they are effective and up-to-date with the latest security threats.

You will also be responsible for enhancing the incident response maturity of Nubank by leveraging engineering solutions and automation tools. This includes identifying areas for improvement in current processes and implementing new technologies that can streamline incident response efforts. You will collaborate closely with other security team members, sharing insights and best practices to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
