You are comfortable working with cloud technologies, particularly AWS, and have experience with REST APIs, ensuring seamless integration and communication between services.

Your problem-solving skills enable you to tackle complex challenges effectively, weighing business and technical trade-offs to find the best solutions. What you'll do

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Flows Platform team, you will play a critical role in building and operating the core engine that powers all automated lifecycle programs at Klaviyo. Your responsibilities will include designing and implementing backend solutions that process billions of events and send millions of messages daily. You will ensure that our customers' automations run reliably and without delay, contributing to the overall success of our platform.

You will actively participate in team discussions, helping to shape important technology decisions and exploring multiple solutions to complex challenges. Your role will involve shipping well-designed, thoroughly tested solutions that prioritize reliability and performance, ensuring that hundreds of millions of actions per day are processed accurately and efficiently.

Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including product management and design, will be essential as you work to understand user needs and translate them into technical requirements. You will also mentor junior engineers, sharing your knowledge and experience to help them grow in their roles.
