Who you are

You have 5+ years of backend engineering experience, particularly in designing and maintaining scalable systems. Your expertise in Go allows you to build high-performance applications that can handle millions of events per second. You understand the importance of data integrity and security in distributed systems, and you have experience optimizing database performance.

You are comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Product and Engineering, to define system requirements and deliver customer-focused solutions. Your experience with microservices architecture enables you to design systems that are both efficient and resilient. You are proactive in supporting production services, ensuring high availability through monitoring and troubleshooting.

Desirable

Experience with third-party integrations, such as payment systems like Stripe, is a plus. Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines will help you implement best practices in your work. You are also open to learning new technologies and methodologies that can enhance your contributions to the team.

What you'll do

In this role, you will design, implement, and maintain microservices and APIs that enable usage metering, billing, invoicing, and analytics at scale. You will architect backend systems capable of processing millions of events per second in real-time, ensuring that they are robust and efficient. Collaborating closely with Product and Engineering teams, you will define system requirements and deliver high-quality, customer-focused solutions.

You will optimize database performance and ensure data integrity, reliability, and security across distributed systems. Integrating with third-party services to support billing and reporting needs will be part of your responsibilities. You will also support production services through monitoring, troubleshooting, and participating in an on-call rotation to ensure high availability.

Implementing best practices for DevOps, CI/CD, and cloud-native development will be essential in your role. You will write automated tests to validate system behavior and prevent regressions, contributing to a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
