Who you are
You have 5+ years of experience in product design, particularly in creating user-centered designs that enhance software usability. Your background includes working closely with engineering and product management teams to ensure that design solutions meet user needs and business goals. You are proficient in Figma and have a strong portfolio showcasing your design process and outcomes.
You excel in user research and can translate insights into actionable design strategies. Your ability to communicate design concepts effectively to stakeholders is a key strength, allowing you to advocate for user needs while balancing technical constraints. You are comfortable working in a collaborative environment and enjoy mentoring junior designers.
Desirable
Experience with AI or machine learning products is a plus, as is familiarity with design systems and component libraries. You have a keen interest in the latest design trends and technologies, and you are always looking for ways to improve your skills and knowledge.
What you'll do
As a Senior Product Designer at LaunchDarkly, you will lead the design efforts for the AI Configs product area, ensuring that the tools we build are not only functional but also delightful to use. You will conduct user research to understand the needs and pain points of our users, translating these insights into design solutions that enhance their experience. You will collaborate closely with product management, engineering, and marketing teams to align on product vision and execution.
Your responsibilities will include creating wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that communicate your ideas clearly. You will participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers, fostering a culture of design excellence within the team.
