Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience in software engineering, particularly in backend development, and are comfortable working with existing codebases. You excel at breaking down complex problems and designing elegant, maintainable solutions that are resilient and robust. Your experience includes gathering requirements from business managers and communicating ideas clearly to support multi-person projects and offshore teams.

You operate with an AI-first engineering mindset, leveraging AI to enhance scoping, architecture, coding, code review, test generation, performance analysis, and incident response. You understand the importance of ensuring that solutions remain correct, maintainable, secure, and compliant.

What you'll do

In this role, you will design, build, and operate scalable backend microservices using Python and/or Node.js. This includes API design, versioning, reliability patterns, and performance tuning. You will also be responsible for designing and building micro frontends and modern web applications, tackling meaningful technical challenges that directly impact the experience of customers and business partners.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that the applications you develop meet business needs and user expectations. Your role will involve mentoring junior engineers and participating in code reviews to maintain high standards of quality and performance.
